Chef Dan Magner

No matter where you live, you have probably heard of Carrabbas Italian Grill... you may not know that there really is a big Italian family at the heart of this very successful restaurant group… two families to be exact - Johnny Carrabbas and his Damian Mandola brag they are not real chefs, but they ARE real eaters and despite their Texas accents, they really did build their restaurants on the incredible recipes of their Sicillian grandmothers, aunts, mothers and uncles.

Representing Carrabbas Italian Grill here on the show, another big guy who believes in big eating… Dan Magner also grew up watching his mom and grandma in the kitchen – he dove into cooking with enthusiasm and after trying several jobs in local restaurants, decided to take it to the next level and entered the culinary program at Gulf Coast College in Panama City, Florida. Chef Dan joined Carrabbas on Panama City Beach in the fall of 2004 and he has been here ever since... he told me before the show that one of his greatest sources of pride is the fact that local "big name" restaurant owners come to his Carrabba's because it's their favorite place to eat, drink, relax and hangout with their friends!
